Commercial Services at Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service »

Adopted

The Merseyside Observatory was created with a vision of establishing a central data point for various public sector organisations to access information in a single sharing point. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service has led the way in innovation when it comes to reducing risks in the home and community and the data collection that supports this, is valuable to other bodies. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service has shown it is a sector leader in providing skilled and sensitive customer support services through its contact centre Fire Service Direct. It is the perfect link between our business and our customers, and we are now offering these outstanding services to other public and private sector organisations through the Merseyside Observatory. Combined with our extensive knowledge and information management resources through customer insight, we can provide a complete customer contact package.

Tackling Anti Social Behaviour »

Delivered

West Mercia Police, along with its partners, are committed to providing an outstanding service to their residents and many visitors. Our ambition is to make West Mercia an even safer place to live, work and visit and we have joined up with our partner agencies in a structured way to tackle all aspects of harm that affect our communities. This is not a talking shop, this is partners working together to make a difference. Our aim is to enable our communities to have a voice, and join with them to tackle the harms that affect them. The 5 areas of business we have been working on are: •Creating an effective call handling system •Introducing risk assessment to identify vulnerable victims •Installing off the shelf IT systems to share information between agencies •Agreeing a protocol across all local agencies •Engaging with the community to set out the issues which are causing most harm As a result we the partners have developed a way of assessing risk at the point of contact and developed partnership working in all areas of business.
